IV Vitamin Therapy Consultation: South Perth Booking Guide
If you’re looking into IV therapy for the first time, the word “consultation” might sound like an extra step between you and the treatment you actually want. At Origin of Wellness, it’s the opposite — the consultation is the whole point. It’s where a registered nurse works out, together with you, whether IV therapy is appropriate, and if so, what actually fits your goals. This guide walks through exactly how booking and attending a consultation works at our South Perth clinic.
What an IV Therapy Consultation Actually Involves
A consultation isn’t a formality before you’re handed a treatment menu. It’s a real clinical conversation, covering:
- Your health history and any relevant medical conditions
- Current medications and whether they interact with any IV ingredients
- What you’re hoping to get out of treatment — energy, recovery, general wellness, skin, focus, or something else
- Whether IV therapy is suitable for you at all, based on the above
If everything checks out, your nurse will talk you through appropriate options. If it doesn’t, you’ll be told honestly — including if that means IV therapy isn’t the right fit for you right now.
Two Ways to Book Your Consultation
1. In-Clinic Consultation
Held at our South Perth clinic on Canning Highway, an in-clinic consultation lets you go straight from conversation to treatment in the same visit, if you’re assessed as suitable. This is the more common choice for clients who are local to South Perth, Como, Applecross, Kensington or nearby suburbs.
2. FaceTime Consultation
If you’d rather start the conversation from home — or you’re not yet sure IV therapy is for you and want to ask questions first — we offer FaceTime consultations. You’ll still go through the same clinical assessment with your nurse; you’ll just need to visit in-clinic before any treatment is administered.
Neither option skips the assessment. The only difference is where that first conversation happens.
How to Book, Step by Step
- Head to our booking page and choose whether you’d like an in-clinic or FaceTime consultation
- Select a time that suits your schedule
- Fill in your basic details — name, contact information, and a brief note on what’s bringing you in, if you’d like to include one
- Attend your consultation at the time booked
- Discuss suitability and options with your nurse
- Proceed to treatment, if appropriate — either that same day (in-clinic) or at a follow-up in-clinic visit (if you started with FaceTime)
What to Have Ready Before Your Consultation
To make the most of your appointment, it helps to have on hand:
- A list of any medications or supplements you’re currently taking
- Any relevant medical history (allergies, chronic conditions, recent surgeries)
- A general sense of what you’re hoping to achieve — you don’t need to know exactly which treatment you want, just what you’re aiming for
How Long Does a Consultation Take?
Consultations are unhurried on purpose — your nurse needs enough time to properly understand your situation. Most consultations run for a reasonable window, with treatment (if suitable) following on afterward for in-clinic bookings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book a separate appointment for treatment after my consultation? If you book in-clinic and are assessed as suitable, treatment can usually happen in the same visit. If you start with a FaceTime consultation, you’ll book a follow-up in-clinic visit for treatment.
What if I’m told I’m not suitable for IV therapy? You’ll be told clearly and honestly, along with the reasoning. Client safety always comes first, and IV therapy is never pushed as a default option.
Is there a cost for the consultation itself? Booking details and any consultation fees are outlined at the time of booking — check our booking page for current information.
Can I ask questions before committing to a full appointment? Yes — this is exactly what a FaceTime consultation is useful for if you’d like to talk things through before visiting in-clinic.
Do you take walk-ins in South Perth? Appointments are recommended rather than walk-ins, to make sure your nurse has adequate time for a proper consultation rather than a rushed one.
